Located in the historically important university city of Guanajuato, CIMAT—el Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas, AC—is a publicly-funded research centre fully integrated with the Public Centres System overseen by Mexico’s National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT). CIMAT focuses on the creation, transmission and application of specialist knowledge in the fields of mathematics, statistics and computer science.
